چکیده

An algorithm is presented for wheeled mobile robot trajectory generation that achieves a high degree of generality and efficiency. The generality derives from numerical linearization and inversion of forward models of propulsion, suspension, and motion for any type of vehicle. Efficiency is achieved by using fast numerical optimization techniques and effective initial guesses for the vehicle controls parameters. This approach can accommodate such effects as rough terrain, vehicle dynamics, models of wheel-terrain interaction, and other effects of interest. It can accommodate boundary and internal constraints while optimizing an objective function that might, for example, involve such criteria as obstacle avoidance, cost, risk, time, or energy consumption in any combination. The algorithm is efficient enough to use in real time due to its use of nonlinear programming techniques that involve searching the space of parameterized vehicle controls. Applications of the presented methods are demonstrated for

Trajectory Tracking of Two-Wheeled Mobile Robots, Using LQR Optimal Control Method, Based On Computational Model of KHEPERA IV

This paper presents a model-based control design for trajectory tracking of two-wheeled mobile robots based on Linear Quadratic Regulator (LQR) optimal control. The model proposed in this article has been implemented on a computational model which is obtained from kinematic and dynamic relations of KHEPERA IV. The purpose of control is to track a predefined reference trajectory with the best po...

Continuous Control Primitive Trajectory Generation and Optimal Motion Splines for All-Wheel Steering Mobile Robots

We present a method for trajectory generation for all-wheel steering mobile robots which can account for rough terrain and predictable vehicle dynamics and apply it to the problem of generating optimal motion splines. There has been little work in trajectory generation for vehicles with all-wheel steering capability compared to the Ackermann, differential-drive, or omnidirectional mobility syst...

Motion Control and Stability Improvement of Autonomous Mobile Robots with Suspended Wheels

Mobile manipulators have been given extensive attention in recent years since they have many applications such as materials transport and service for disabled persons. A mobile modular manipulator is normally composed of an m-wheeled mobile platform and an n-degree-of-freedom (DOF) onboard modular manipulator. This combination extends the workspace of the entire robot dramatically. Building up ...

Constrained Optimization Path Following of Wheeled Robots in Natural Terrain

A smooth-primitive constrained-optimization-based path-tracking algorithm for mobile robots that compensates for rough terrain, predictable vehicle dynamics, and vehicle mobility constraints has been developed, implemented, and tested on the DARPA LAGR platform. Traditional methods for the geometric path following control problem involve trying to meet position constraints at fixed or velocity ...

Fuzzy Motion Control for Wheeled Mobile Robots in Real-Time

Due to various advantages of Wheeled Mobile Robots (WMRs), many researchers have focused to solve their challenges. The automatic motion control of such robots is an attractive problem and is one of the issues which should carefully be examined. In the current paper, the trajectory tracking problem of WMRs which are actuated by two independent electrical motors is deliberated. To this end, and ...
